Deli Serdang Regent, H Ashari Tambunan received a visit from the Japanese Consulate General for North Sumatra, Mr. Takonai Susumu in the Deli Serdang Regent's Office, Tuesday (15/2/2022). wants to hold a Program for Sending Islamic Boarding School/Religious Teachers to Japan.

Mr. Takanoi also said that the Japanese government is very interested in this program, not only because Indonesia is the largest country with adherents of Islam, but also because Islam in Indonesia is characterized by a pluralistic society consisting of various ethnic groups and languages in Indonesia.

Bupati Deli Serdang, H Ashari Tambunan menerima kunjungan Konsulat Jenderal (Konjen) Jepang untuk Sumatera Utara, Mr Takonai Susumu di Ruang Kerja Bupati Deli Serdang, Selasa (15/2/2022).Dalam kunjungan tersebut, Mr Takanoi Susumu menyampaikan saat ini Pemerintah Jepang ingin mengadakan Program Pengiriman Guru Pesantren/Agama Islam ke Jepang. 

Disampaikannya, jumlah umat Muslim di Jepang masih kurang dari satu persen. Para guru pesantren yang nantinya akan dikirim bisa memberikan dampak signifikan bagi penyebaran agama Islam di Jepang. Mr Takanoi juga menyampaikan Pemerintah Jepang sangat tertarik pada program ini, tidak hanya karena Indonesia merupakan negara terbesar penganut Islam, tapi juga karena Islam di Indonesia memiliki karakter dalam kemajemukan masyarakat yang terdiri dari beragam suku dan bahasa di Indonesia.

Apa yang disampaikan Konjen Jepang tersebut mendapat apresiasi dari Bupati Deli Serdang, H Ashari Tambunan. "Kami menyambut baik program tersebut dan tidak hanya akan mengirim guru pesantren, tapi juga ulama terbaik dari Kabupaten Deli Serdang," ungkap Bupati. Selain itu, Bupati juga berharap bila ada program lain yang ingin dilakukan, Pemerintah Kabupaten Deli Serdang akan sangat mendukung.
Karena secara pribadi, Bupati Deli Serdang salut dengan etos kerja yang dimiliki masyarakat Jepang. Di mana, masyarakat Jepang yang maju masih bisa saling membantu tanpa egois dan Individualistis. "Hal inilah yang perlu ditiru dan diteladani masyarakat Deli Serdang," imbuh Bupati.
